Positional tactical records: developing the player from his role

On the base of a player who perceives well, decides well and executes in chains in a sustained way, the third level of development is built: behaviours specific to the position.

Starting from what he already knows

We work with positional tactical records. We start from the player’s position, his role, to give him concrete references on how to behave, both in training and in matches, within his specific function in the team.

Not a generic fundamental

We don’t apply the same fundamental equally to every player. We look for the behaviour his particular position needs in the real game, so he can act with his own judgement, not just repeat instructions, in the situations his role demands again and again.

Each level rests on the previous one

A player with excellent technical execution but poor perception will fail at the exact moment the game speeds up. And one with good perception and execution, but without clear positional behaviours, gets lost within his own role.

That is why order matters: perceive, decide, execute in chains and sustain, and behave according to his position.
